Black History Month is a time for students, staff and the wider Brighton community to reflect, learn and celebrate the past, present and future.
Black History Month takes place nationally every October, though the Students' Union programme extends well beyond this. This listing brings together events happening on campus, virtually and across the country for you to get involved with - click on a thumbnail for more information about a particular event. If you’ve seen something happening that you think should be included on the listings, let us know via [email protected]
The Students' Union currently has a small number of grants of up to £150 reserved for student-led Black History Month projects, and can offer support in hosting your own event. For more information on financial support and more, please see our grants and projects form.
If you’re interested in learning more or sharing resources around Black History Month, join the Students’ Union’s collaborative page full of recommendations by students for students.
