As your officers, we regularly meet with the University to represent all students and lobby for your rights. To keep you updated, we're posting quick meeting summaries whenever we can.

As your Students' Union, we're separate from the University. Meeting with University management is one way for us, as officers, to ensure your voices (particularly those of the most vulnerable students) are heard and responded to by the University. There were a number of issues on which we were seeking clarity and action, which we raised with Graeme as below. We asked for an email update about these issues, as we are concerned about the extent to which the University is engaging with student representation at the moment.

Your officers regularly meeting with the University management. This update includes answers and discussions on Brighton Banter, accommodation, Renters Rally, fines, body cams, food package, longer-term loans of computer equipment, turning cameras on in class, and Minibus service.

Update about Covid-19 tests on campus

If you need to get a coronavirus test, you have to be symptomatic. If you have symptoms, you need to fill in the Sussex University Covid reporting tool, and you will get support and contact from the University.
