Nominate yourself to lead your Students’ Union

Published on 5th February 2021 at 15:36.

The Students’ Union is a charity run by students, for students, to promote the interests of students and it's time to choose your representatives in the upcoming election!

The Executive team is made up of 6 Full Time Officers who will be employed full time to lead the Union for the next year, and 5 Part Time Officers who volunteer their time to ensure that marginalised students’ needs are considered in any decisions being made that affect them.

Our Students’ Union’s elected officers have made many improvements to life at Sussex over the years, such as creating the Buddy Scheme that helps new students settle in at Sussex, the Free Periods campaign offering free sanitary products to students, the introduction of Race Equity Advocates helping schools close the BAME awarding gap, and many more initiatives that have benefited students at Sussex.

Nominate yourself or recommend others

You can nominate yourself today or if you know someone you think would make a great officer, complete this form and we will let them know (it can be anonymous if you prefer).

You don’t need any experience to run as an officer, just enthusiasm and ideas for making student lives better.
