From Monday, 30 November through to Friday, 11 December, asymptomatic mass testing provided by the University will be available to all students, as people start heading home for the holiday break.
There’s a simple booking form to arrange your test, and results will be available within 30-45 minutes of the test being taken.
It’s recommended to have two tests, three days apart, to be very sure of an accurate negative test.
After that, it’s recommended that you travel home as soon as possible, knowing you pose little or no risk of unwittingly passing the virus to your family.
You can read more about the arrangements on the University’s Student Hub.
The University does not receive the test results. As with lab processed tests, results are sent directly to you.
The University has said that they are awaiting confirmation from the Department of Health & Social Care, but it looks likely that the programme will be repeated at the beginning of semester two.
