Advice on money scams

Be aware of money scammers! It’s come to our attention that an international student has been scammed on a large amount of money on the threat of being deported. Fraudsters are able to make phone numbers, texts and emails look to appear as if they are coming from the legitimate source - so if you’ve fallen victim to one of these scams, you’re not to blame.

Your officers regularly meeting with the University management. This update includes answers and discussions on Brighton Banter, accommodation, Renters Rally, fines, body cams, food package, longer-term loans of computer equipment, turning cameras on in class, and Minibus service.
Response to the sexual assault cases missed by the Students’ Union reporting tool

We want to express solidarity with the people affected when their reports were not received through the reporting tool due to errors with our website and systems. We try to deal with all issues as swiftly as we can but sometimes this doesn’t happen swiftly enough and we acknowledge that this is such an occurrence.

This was for students to raise concerns and questions about accessing online and ‘blended’ learning, social aspects of University life, financial concerns, moving around campus - and anything else you wanted to bring up.
