Black scientists are consistently underrepresented, particularly at senior levels, in science. The UK’s academic and science pipelines are failing to retain Black scientists, with Black students being far less likely than white students to be pursuing a PhD and higher academic positions.
This event will highlight the stories of Black individuals who have completed Life Sciences degrees and now work in science or related fields. We will be opening up conversations around people's experiences as a Black person studying a science degree and in their subsequent careers.
You will have the chance to ask panel members questions and listen to their stories.
