About Mountaineering Club
Fancy trying something new? Love the outdoors? Bit of an adrenaline junkie? Well Climbing with us at Sussex could be your perfect society.
We are an all inclusive society for those of you who have never climbed before, to those gnarliest climbers out there.
As a society we are having to shake up our usual ways of working because of the current situation. In previous years our membership was £80 for the academic years free climbing at High Sports on Wednesdays. During the Autumn term this year we have had to put this on hold, instead we will be charging a £5 fee which will help us to maintain current kit and invest in new gear so as many new people get involved as possible. We are in the process of working out how we can still climb at the local gyms in Brighton and get new people involved. This will likely be in smaller groups paying a normal entrance fee, and we will be sticking with Wednesday as our club day to climb. In spring term we hope to reinstate our Wednesday sessions for £45 for the spring term.
As a member of University of Sussex Mountaineering Club you will be have access to our legendary trips in both the UK and abroad.
